This year’s In Progress Feedback Festival is inspired by the idea of Rebirth and the incredible power of human race and nature to be reborn through ashes and death.
The Festival has as main objective the research, experimentation and development of the creative process, and how this can be influenced by public opinion through the exchange of ideas with it. In addition, it focuses on the education and cultivation of audiences in contemporary society.
The artists present their work, which is not yet completed but “under development”, testing their thoughts and ideas. They come in direct contact with the public that actively participates in the end of each show through creative discussions, questionnaires and other imaginative ways of exchanging ideas, taking the feedback that will lead them to a future, complete work.
In Progress Feedback Festival is a Kinitiras’ tradition, a Kinitiras’ party. It is another effort of being closer to the neighborhood and to the community. All actions, interactive and performative, have free entrance so everybody can attend. Moreover, side events are being hosted with notable institutions and people of the performing arts and there are always efforts being made so as to open meaningful channel of communication with the province.
Theatre and dance groups can participate in this competitive festival with projects of 15′-25′ that are still in progress. The on stage artists should be from one to four.
The festival will take place on 31/3 & 1-2/4/2018 and the winning group, which will come out from the votes of the audience, will have the opportunity to present a complete work in co-production with Kinitiras.
