With Ulrike Hasbach-Doussis
In Kinitiras we call Feldenkrais the “ magic” class because it can literally change your life, bringing up movement memories from our baby years and early childhood, when our body used to move freely and in a unique clever way. Try it in order not to miss!
Feldenkrais method is a unique movement method that teaches us how to use our body in a more creative and clever way and how to take advantage of our brain and body capabilities. You have the opportunity to experience this through the smooth and calm teaching of Ulrike Hasbach-Doussis, who has dedicated her life in teaching this method.
With Feldenkrais we overcome our personal movement difficulties and past traumas begin to fade away. We discover how to move easier in our daily life and small daily physical achievements make our life freer.
This class can be attended by professional dancers and athletes, senior individuals and individuals with special needs.
"...make the impossible possible, the possible easy and the easy elegant."
Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais
Feldenkrais method is the discovery of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984), an Israeli physics engineer and Judo master and it is based on the neurophysiology findings that the brain, the nervous system and the whole musculoskeletal system cooperate in order to coordinate the way we move.
Ulrike Hasbach-Doussis has studied music and movement in the Upper Music and Drama School in Hamburg, Germany. Later she studied for 4 years (Feldenkrais Professional Training) in Accord Mobile in Paris, with Myriam Pfeffer. Since 1992 she is teaching the Feldenkrais method in Germany, Austria, France and Greece, where she lives since 2001. She has worked as training assistant with Dr Chava Shelhav from 2003 to 2007.
