Accompanied by music! Movement – Improvisation – Vocals – Composition With Maya Lipsker and Roy Carroll
Maya Lipsker’s workshop in cooperation with Roy Carroll will provide an intensive practice to dancers, actors and whoever is interested in working on movement and vocals.
The workshop will be in two parts:
The first part is comprised of the special warm up by Maya Lipsker which invigorates in a unique way the relationship between mind and body. The warm up will be an ideal preparation to start working with our natural “tools” and our energy. We are going to meet many different levels in our body and we will build a relationship of trust on our body appearance, its vigilance and instincts.
In the second part of the workshop we are going to connect our voice with our natural presence, while moving, dancing and improvising. We will create a group dynamic perception which we will use throughout the whole workshop. We will work continuously with our imagination and our personal satisfaction and we will activate our mind in order to become aware of our actions and reactions, while we will individualize each movement or sound. Roy Carroll will create music and a sound landscape which will help the two art forms to come together and will be an organic and integral part of the workshop.

Dance workshop With Maya Lipsker
The main word – key of this workshop is “pleasure”, through mental and physical exercise
We are going to witness the dynamic tool of personal pleasure through vigilance and playfulness.
This workshop aims at allowing dancers of all levels to meet and experience working dynamically in a group stimulating our senses and our imagination.
Focusing on our energy rather than on technique, we will explore our physical tolerance levels, our personal mastery skills, our musicality and our personal expression.
When we will discover these “pleasure ingredients”, then we start acquiring the necessary technique that out body needs to become stronger and to be able to cope with any choreographic challenge.
