Workshop: Detail matters
Nina Dipla’s method, inspired by the teachings of the "Folkwang Hochschule, Pina Bausch", focuses on weight, energy, breath and movement quality.
The dancer needs to project his/her worn “truth”, hic et nunc, to listen to his/her body, so that he/she can avoid mimicking.
The workshop focuses on the importance of the detail, but also on the simplicity of the action. The student in invited to experience their internal and external space through suggestions that encourage them to deepen his/her choreographic vocabulary .
Initially the body, totally relaxed, wakes up. Then the student goes through the space changing, gradually, levels, using and being aware of his/her shifts of weight.
Gradually the exercises turn into dance. After an hour and a half the body has recorded impressions, it is surrounded and vibrated by some special energy.
The body is now free from every kind of restrictions and has absorbed the new choreographic suggestions, transforming them into unique soul expressions.
The workshop is for people who are interested in dance and theatre.
