(Finland/Greece) is the resident artist of Kinitiras studio for the winter season
Androutsopoulou’s work is characterised by intense narrative and image making elements. Travelling and time are of special importance in her work. Her engraving works, which are often organised in thematic categories, are placed in a row and they create visual ακολουθια.
In the exhibition “Sometimes I don’t get you”, main theme is communication and its different forms, as well as the difficulties that may come up in its course. Emphasis is given in the relationship between the sender and the receiver for the successful transference and interpretation of a message. Visual sequences are dominant and they form small individual editions. However, every page, except of being part of a whole, it is also an individual work. So the audience is invited to take part in this event by sending and receiving messages and to cooperate with the artist from the position of the receiver, so that the work becomes complete.
