Kinitiras is happy to accomodate the young Israeli upcoming choreographer Rachel Erdos in cooperation with Choros Lalo and invites you to be a part of this informal sharing of Rachel’s creative process and ideas of her upcoming work.
This work is based on a study called “The Experimental Generation of Interpersonal Closeness.” written by Arthur Aron a social psychologists.
Aron generated a series of 36 questions meant to create closeness between two people, with the added possibility of making those two people fall in love.
The questions are meant to be increasingly more personal and intended to create mutual vulnerability between two people resulting in a lasting closeness – or even love.
Using the 36 questions and the experiment as structural guidelines, I want to explore the potential to create closeness between the audience and performers.
Between a talk show and Sunday confession, this work asks the audience to ask themselves the same questions the dancers on stage ask themselves.
