The performance-celebration of Kinitiras has arrived!

On the occasion of the Kinitiras Ω (Omega) group celebrating its 10th anniversary, all the lifelong learning groups of Kinitiras (Dance Theatre, Acting, Mature Age and Youth) will be together on stage on 26/6/24 at the Isadora & Raymond Duncan Dance Research Center (34 Chrysafis Street, Vyronas).

The performance-celebration takes place in a utopian school, the 1st Model, Interactive, Intergenerational Kinitiras’ School. Fifty adults dance, play and sing together to celebrate life.

Each group took charge of a school celebration with the celebrating group Ω having the main role, while Kinitiras Y acts in a surprise role. The professionals of the Kinitiras Artistic Network have worked tirelessly since the beginning of the “school” year to create this unique performance, which focuses on the main goal of uniting professionals and amateurs through the performing arts.

This performance is an opportunity to talk about essential issues of the time, such as democracy, freedom and the need for rebirth. While fascism marches around us and world peace is at stake, climate change is a sad fact and artificial intelligence is insidiously rather than creatively infiltrating our daily lives, we resist. Through a celebration. The celebration of gratitude for the precious gift of life. We play with “clichés” and reinvent them with joy and constant questioning, with teamwork, guided by the body and its intelligence.
