Anna Skubik will be at Kinitiras as a resident artist from 19th to 29th of August 2018.

During her residency, Anna will compare dance with puppetry. She will create a stage partner, a live size puppet (or puppets). She will examine the subject of rebirth, the weakness of human nature and the power of rebirth. She will search for inspiration in Ancient Greek monuments and literature. She will work with the actress and theare director Julia Kogkou and with the double bass player George Kokkinaris.

Anna Skubik is an artist, actress and performer. She studies in the Polish Akademi of Theater in Wroclaw, Poland. She does acting, animation and performance. She also tries to do  Puppetry projects for adults audiences. With the show “Broken nails” she was invited to festivals and presentations not only in Poland but also abroad: Los Angeles, New York, Bangkok, George Town, Jakarta. She believes art is a great way to change the reality. She is still searching for new possibilities to express herself through art and puppetry. In most of her projects she does puppets on her own.
