Kinitiras is out again, in the streets, in the city. This time due to the project “Athens 2018-World Book Capital“.
The city of Athens named “World Book Capital” for 2018 by UNESCO for a whole year from 23 of April 2018 until 22 of April 2019.

Kinitiras in collaboration with the Municipality of Athens, under the artistic direction of GAV the newly formed artistic company (Antigone Gyra, Vicky Adamou, Iasonas Venetsanopoulos) will be spread all over the city, in public spaces from 22th of April until 1st of May 2018* creating unique reading surprises and dreamy spaces among urban routine.

Readings of books from different fields (literature, poetry, sociology, phycology etc) are coming to surprise the unsuspecting citizens. Speech, movement and songs are combined triggered by the readings creating shorter or longer routes. The concept of transformation will determine all these performances which have the intention of creating a mosaic of dreams all over the city.

24/4 and 27/4: Route 1: exit Panepistimio metro station-Voukourestiou-Akadimias-Vass.Sofias-Vass.Amalias-Parliament

23/4 and 25/4: Route 2: Omonoia square-Kotzia square-Athinas-Monastiraki square

28/4 and 30/4: Route 3: exit Akropoli metro station-Dion.Areopagitou-Apostolou Pavlou-Thisio station

29/4 and 1/5 Route 4: National Garden (start at the Sun Clock-walk around the garden-finish in the Sun Clock)

22/4 and 26/4: Route 5: Kypseli square-Fokionos Negri-Patision-Amerikis square
