Slug Horizons
13/1/2018 at 21.30
The slug is both female and male, it is slippery by nature as its sexualities slip into each other. Some species of slug have the ability to reproduce asexually. The slug appears as a gifted, omnipotent creature of the future.
‘Slug Horizons’ is driven by a political desire to make marginalised affection/ intimacy/ vulnerability visible.
Florence Peake and Eve Stainton are enquiring into the restrictive heteronormative attitudes to non monogamous bodies, the intimate bodies of two women, the shame, repression, sexuality and power within those bodies. Promoting an emotional landscape of bravery.
