Visibly Vocal (Erasmus +)

Kinitiras is collaborating for the second time with the young Irish theatre organization Crooked House Theatre Company in Newbridge, where young people from Greece, Italy, Denmark, France and Ireland, meet in the Visibly Vocal program with the aim of making use of their small community in a creation space. All workshops, by directors with experience in site-specific performances, take place in public spaces for a week and culminate in a two-hour street performance.

The main coordinator of the program is the distinguished Irish director and theatre teacher Peter Hussey, artistic director of Kildare Youth Theatre. He has collaborated with important theaters and organizations such as Théâtre Le Grand Bleu (Lille, France), Teatro della Limonaia (Florence, Italy), Rogaland Teater (Stavanger, Norway), Osmosis (Athens), as well as with the Erasmus+ programs in most of the countries EU, while he has produced the Connections festival in Ireland for the National Theater in London. He is also the founder of the Newbridge Human Rights Youth Theater Festival. His recent activity includes developing projects with communities in Kildare and Dublin, which utilize theatre methods as a means of suicide prevention, particularly in the 17-37 age group.
