Kinitiras, from September 2020 to June 2021, taking into consideration the new social (and not only) circumstances, remains in a transitional mode and proceeds step by step.
On Tuesday 22/9 we start at the Open Theatre of Kolonos with an “elegy for an irrational world” and the Ionesians Design B, by Vicky Adamou and Life After Death company with the support of OPANDA and the artistic network of KINITIRAS. We are also feverishly preparing for the residency Transition I Enter Communities of Body, originally designed for Spring 2020 as part of the In Progress Feedback Festival, which will be held from 16/11 to 19/ 12/2020 updated with creative proposals responding to globally spread challenges.
We are waiting for instructions from the Ministry of Culture and Sports for the start of another residency, Femininity in Transition, which will be implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports between Greece and Israel.
We look forward to Spring 2021 and the two-year youth exchange program, Ragaire. This is an Erasmus+ program of our partner from Ireland, Crooked House Theater Company, in which young people from Ireland, England, Spain, Austria and Greece will participate.
Regarding the classes and the groups, based on the way we have been working at Kinitiras for so many years, which is based on freedom of physical expression, physical closeness and spontaneity, we decided this year not to implement them. We only start online the meetings of Kinitiras Ω (Omega), a vital group to the identity of Kinitiras.
