Kinitiras celebrates 30 years of continuous presence on stage, in the streets, in classrooms, in Greece and abroad. It inaugurates its anniversary celebrations by bringing Dionysios Solomos’ masterpiece “The Woman of Zakynthos” to one of the oldest and most beautiful cafes in Athens.
Kinitiras Youth takes part in the 16th International Dance Film and Performance Festival – Athens Video Dance Project.
Kinitiras, in the context of this year’s thematic umbrella “Spirituality”, presents the interactive walking performance by Antigone Gyra “Sunset in Voula”.

After three years of choreographic research on female nature and femininity in transition, in collaboration with important institutions and studios, Kinitiras Dance Company presents the performance Fantastic Women, with the aim of celebrating the female existence and femininity of people.
The Cypriot director Paris Erotokritou, member of Kinitiras network since 2007, returns to Athens for a revealing collaboration with the couple backbone of Kinitiras. Together they study, envision and dream of companionship on planet Earth.
Antigone Gyra is presenting for the first time her solo “ehS came from another planet” in the Jerusalem International Solo Dance Festival (JISDF). In addition, along with two of her oldest collaborators, Anthi Theofilidi and Artemis Lampiri, she will present the pieces they created during the Femininity in Transition residency program.
Antigone’s Gyra solo, “We can do it”, performed by Aphrodite Vervenioti is going to be presented at Bite Size Pieces of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.

Kinitiras is out again, in the streets, in the city. This time due to the project “Athens 2018-World Book Capital”. The city of Athens named “World Book Capital” for 2018 by UNESCO for a whole year from 23 of April 2018 until 22 of April 2019.
