« How do I start?
If I think of exchanges between Europe and Africa, I think of migrants. And I think about who I am and where I find myself in this exchange. At what place. I am a white, I am a woman. I am French, I am European. So, I embody a form of Europe. Europe is a woman, a foreign princess. Europe is insomniac, like me, and one day after a terrible night, she decides to go to the sea. There, she meets a very beautiful white bull. She climbs onto his back. He immediately sets off at a gallop. Like this, they make a long trip, which lasts several days, and, at last, they arrive in Crete, in a small village, near a tree. In a surprise, she finds out it wasn’t just a bull, but Zeus in disguise. Since then, the tree is always green and several children have been born. This is the story of Europe and we gave the name of this foreigner to a continent. The continent in which I was born, where I live in and in which we decline access to many others.»
